Well, on Friday they made a mistake. When Adam re-enlisted, he got a free 4 day weekend to use whenever he wanted. Because of all of the holidays and days off around the holidays they were having trouble finding a 4 day for him to take. So, they told him to take two three days instead. His SSgt had been telling him for over a month that he would get the last friday of December and the first Friday of January off. So, that's what he did. So, last Thursday he goes to work like normal, and no one says a word to him about his day off. Just a notmal day. Then, Friday morning, his Sgt calls, three times, to tell him that he was supposed to have Thursday off and he has to get to work.

Well, Friday was a half day, and we slept in until after all of the guys were off of work. His Sgt had called at 5am, 6am, and at 8am to tell him that he had to be in and he was going to be in trouble if he wasn't. We didn't even get the message until noon. When Adam called his Sgt back, he was told that his SSgt, who scheduled the days off, never checked for sure until Friday morning! She told Adam what days to take off, and SHE made the mistake and gave him the wrong days, but Adam is the one who gets in trouble. His Sgt told him not to worry about it, and that it isn't his fault, so hopefully he will just get a counseling statement. I still think the counseling statement is unfair, because he was going on the word of the exact person he was supposed to be going on. Following orders. But, since his SSgt doesn't want to get into trouble for this, she will try to make it Adam's fault for not checking himself, or not answering the phone in time.
