Today I went with my friend Amy to Madigan hospital to get her pregnancy test results. She was so anxious to go because she had a pregnancy scare last month but wasn't pregnant but this month she was a week late when she finally went and got a test yesterday. She is supposed to go to a bachelorette party this weekend and wanted to know before she went if she could drink or not. She came knocking on my door at about 12:30 this afternoon and was like, "Sooooo, what are you doing?" Then she asked me to go to the hospital with her. I had just been on the living room floor asleep so I was just excited to get out of the apartment. We each got ready and left about 15 minutes later to go to Ft Lewis. When we finally got to the hospital she was bouncing around in the car. At the window of the OB/GYN clinic the nurse asked her if she wanted to be pregnant or not, and she was just like, whatever I am is fine. Then she handed Amy the paper and said "Congratulations!". Amy didn't know if she meant congrats for being pregnant, or not being pregnant, but we both looked at the paper and it said "Pregnancy test result.....POSITIVE" She got a huge smile on her face!!! I am SOOOOOOO excited for her!!! Then we went searching around base for her husband, but we couldn't find him anywhere!!! She has to go to work before he gets off tonight, and she didn't want to wait until 11:30 PM tonight when she gets home to tell him. Right now she is freaking out because she probably won't get to go back to school for the year course schedule she has coming up, and Dan, her husband, has a tour in Korea coming up. He will probably have to miss the entire pregnancy!! Now she has to decide if she wants to stay here and live near Ft Lewis while he is gone, or move up with her parents about an hour north of Ft Lewis. Either way I know it will all work out. She and Dan will make wonderful parents, and adorable kids.....
